Set up roles and access for Facebook Page depending on the Page experience you use on Facebook: Classic or New
For users with new Page experience:
To link an Instagram Business account with a Facebook page, you should have the role ‘People with Facebook access with full control’
- To find out if you have access, Open Facebook app → Login with your Facebook account → Tap ‘Pages’ → Switch to Page → Tap ‘Settings’ → Tap ‘Linked accounts’ → See the status of your Instagram account and manage connections
- To add a new member and give access: Open Facebook app → Login with your Facebook account → Open Page → Tap ‘Settings and Privacy’ → In ‘Settings’, click ‘New Page experience’ → Select ‘Page access’ → Below ‘People with Facebook access’, click ‘Add new’ → Click ‘Next’→ Find the person to invite → Turn on ‘Allow this person to have full control’ and Click ‘Give access’
An invited person should accept the invitation. Note: For activating Instagram auto-posting, it is enough to have access turned on ‘Content - create, manage or delete posts, stories and more as the ‘Page’
For users with classic Page experience:
To link an Instagram Business account with a Facebook page, you should have the role of admin or editor.
- To find out your role, open a Facebook page → Tap ‘Settings’ at the top of your page →Tap 'Page Roles' in the left column
- If you are the owner of a page, then assign a role to your team member: Settings → Page Roles → Enter a name or email, select a person from the list → Editor or Admin → Tap ‘Add’, then enter the password to confirm the action
- If this person is not your friend, it is required to accept the invitation to manage your page
